Powered anode rods are different with traditional sacrificial anodes which degrade themselves to protect the water heater tanks. They use an electrical current through an insert titanium electrode to energize the oxide noble metal coating outside the electrode to give enough electrons to protect the steel tank steadily and continuously. 

Overall, when compared with traditional sacrificial anodes, powered anodes have many advantages. They don’t degrade which preventing the smelly water and their low consumption rate ensure more than 10years lifespan. 

YUXI have developed and tested their anodes for about 5 years. Our special technology of potentiostat can measure the returning current and adjust the output voltage which can avoid the overprotecting to the water heater tanks.Our powered anode rods can be customized as per clients requested (connected in water heaters’ PCB board or supplied with individual power plug).
